The Full Satisfaction of God

Evangelism

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Some say that a salvation this sovereign negates the need for evangelism. What I would say is we see the example of Christ telling the disciples to go forth and teach all nations. By that example we should go forth and teach. We are called to teach. One thing you must remember though is we are not spreading the gospel in order to eternally save, we are spreading the gospel as the teaching of His word brings forth faith.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Faith and belief on God cannot come if you do not hear the word of God. We must also see the results of our teaching are not up to us. We cannot create faith in a person. Only God can do that.

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

If you are not drawn to the Son, no manner of teaching or preaching will be fruitful.

1 Corinthians 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

I have heard numerous times a church say we have to get as many people saved as we can. This is ignorance to the righteousness of God. Salvation has occurred by the shed blood of Christ. The role of the church is now to sew the word of God and He will cause that word to grow in our hearts. If God is not there, no degree of pleading or instruction can cause the seed of faith to grow. Salvation from start to finish is not up to man, it is of the Lord.
